It is April again, every year in April I do the A to Z Challenge. Well, ok I start doing it every year and I’d say I have finished it more than half the time. A Few years I even went back and finished it after it was all said and done just to feel better about myself.
Those of you who don’t know this, every April I do this challenge one post a day every day but Sundays corresponding to the letter of the alphabet. Today being the first Letter “A” which I picked to be April. Originally, I chose angry, rethought that after typing 3 pages of a rant post about how everything sucks. Not terribly productive but a nice purge that seems to have been helpful. Other things that happen in April, since that is the word I choose….
I might have to use some of these on those days… I do fly a Kite when I remember on the 21st… kids look at me weird, but I don’t explain it. The 27th everyone looks at me weird when I start sniffing people. It is Arab American heritage month; Autism awareness falls in here as well. Busy month April. Then there is all of the flower delivery’s April has to make.
All in all, April is busy, busy month. This year… no plan on a theme… I’ve been so overwhelmed with overwhelming things I’m just going to make sure i take a little time for myself each day and do this. I like doing this and I have done not one bit of writing in a year. No work, no jobs, no favors, no blogs… nothing. I have decided for me that April is also get back to writing month. We shall see how it goes sent out some work inquiries today and I wrote this quick :). I hope you are all having a wonderful day.. and as a bonus… Since I really do love movies. let me add a movie recommendation for the day.

Great start! My husband’s birthday is April 6th, I’ll have to hit him with a pillow and blame you. I finished one year after the fact as well so don’t feel bad.

I’ve gone back after the end of April and completed challenge entries before because things got nuts but I couldn’t bear to leave it incomplete.
Good luck on this year’s Challenge!

Happy Aries season and thanks for the movie recommendation!! Adventures in Babysitting is now a classic; right? The 80s are like the 50s when I was growing up and that is bananas to me! It’s also nutty how very few movies from back then hold the test of time in terms of our current day sensibilities since they’re usually all kinds of problematic. I’m gonna have to revisit this Elisabeth Shue classic and see how much I cringe. LOL

I did watch it again… but not really.. I had it running while I did other things. ther are a lot of things that dont stand up to well in todays lighting.

T.S. Eliot says April is the cruellest month. But it can’t be so bad if there are days for pillow fighting and kite flying.

Hopefully you’ll finish this year. You can do it!
I took my daughters to see Adventures in Babysitting when they were still kids living at home with me. Later I saw it again on TV. I thought it was an enjoyable film

Writing up a nice, long, angry rant can be therapeutic. I do that sometimes. It’s not the kind of writing I’d want to share online, but it does help clear my head. And then it’s easier to write stuff that I do think is worth sharing with other people.

Yeah sharing the angry rant isn’t the best plan, sad though some of it was pretty funny.

Maybe the funny parts can be reused for other things. I’m a big believer in recycling old writing for new projects.
