Nothing says April Like A to Z

I didn’t work on a theme this year for the A to Z Challenge. Things have been a bit chaotic this year with the Covid-19 Pandemic. I live in the United States in the State of NY and currently things are pretty bad here. My wife and I both work in what is considered an Essential business. This is both good and bad. Good because we are still getting paid and don’t have to worry about money. Bad, since we are dealing with the public everyday, many of whom aren’t following even basic protection protocols. My wife has a manager currently hospitalized so our tension levels are pretty high.

That being said, I wont be talking about Covid, except for today, and briefly. I’m not sure what I will be doing on a daily basis for the A to Z challenge which is why I never managed to do a reveal. I think it should be something fun, lighthearted or just downright silly. I can be pretty good at being silly. I suppose that means my theme will be silliness. I will also be updating the site here since I haven’t touched it since last April when we finished that challenge. (shame on me). New/Old Graphics perhaps and a newer format.

So silliness it is, maybe baby short stories, perhaps things to rant about that I read someplace. I am certainly going to go on and on about some hygiene things just because…. So much ammo lately, I promise it will be funny though, masks, and soap and air dryers.

I’m certain many of the people I usually follow and read on here during this month will be around, maybe more sporadic than most years because of the situation. I will do my best to follow as I do every year. I hope some of you will return the favor. I am looking forward to quite a few. Arlee, if you stop by and see this post, I want to thank you for 11 years, but most especially for the much needed routine this will bring to me this year.

In closing… I promise to have a new Gnome story, its been a while… I will tell you the Story of Jasper the imaginary son, and I think we may just have to talk a bit about my friend Mortimer who hasn’t been seen in a few years. There could be Giraffes, and Squirrels and even a donkey, Who knows.

To all of you, my thanks for reading. I hope in some small way I can help with the isolation and boredom we are all suffering through currently. I wish you all good health, calm minds, and soon, hopefully, good news for all of us.

  1. My husband and I are in NY as well and we’re grateful for those essential business still offering services–we can only imagine the toll its taking on those working, so thank you. I’m looking forward to reading some silliness; we can all use some right now.

  2. Glad to see you here again. Nice that you can continue working. I’m not getting much transcription business at the moment but I’m hoping that all the virtual meetings people are having will need some sort of transcript for documentation. Happy A!

    • It’s hard, most of our neighbors are out of work right now. Im probably going to sneak around one night leaving baskets of stuff on doorsteps to help out. I think you should reach out to some place for the transcript thing, might be a market for it now for certain.
