I Know You’re Mad at United but… (Thoughts from a Pilot Wife About Flight 3411)

I know it’s off the A to Z path for the month a bit, but… its worth a read especially considering we always, only, get whatever the media feels is the most sensational parts.

  1. The comments section on that post. Ouch. But…To be expected. She may be right in what she’s saying (condescending tone aside) but like she said, there’s two sides to every story. The doctor said that he had patients to see the next day. What if it was life saving surgery that he had to perform? Someone else might need to be somewhere or risk getting fired. It’s easy to say that she would have done something else but she wasn’t in the same situation. There’s no justification for what they did. Any decent airline would go back and just ‘generate’ another choice of passenger, up the compensation and boom, everyone is happy. At the end of the day, when a company inconveniences customers, it has to take responsibility.

    • Oh they went a little crazy yes. I reposted because It’s the only thing I’ve even seen anywhere with someone trying to make people think instead of torches and pitchforks. I’m pretty sure she closed the comments down.

      • Eh…But she wasn’t very objective so it was just a rather long defense of the airline. I’m usually very diplomatic but what they did was wrong and there’s no justification. I will never defend security or enforcement officers. They way they behave is ridiculous.

Lol, yeah the comments are closed! She should have disabled them to begin with.
