G is for Ginsang… Indeed… it does make people sing.

that’s right folks it’s time for the letter “G” to be unveiled. Ginsang… It’s like Ginseng only funnier.  My eldest loves tea, all kinds of tea, she has boxes of it and some of it has Ginseng in it. My Mom refers to it as Ginsang… not all the time and not consistently but whenever she does I laugh just a bit… ok a lot, but there is a reason.

Do-Ra-Me-Fa-So-La-Te- DOH... Singing Gin Bottles.... Oh My!

Ok maybe not… Although If you drink enough Gin you might imagine singing Gin bottles, also singing elephants, singing spoons and chances are you will be singing along with them… badly and off key. That’s alright though you won’t notice… you’ll just keep searching for that perfect note.. you’re certain to find it eventually.

Pictured above from left to right... soprano, contralto, countertenor, tenor, baritone, and bass... Of course more men... we sing drunk more often.

Nothing wrong with singing… not even anything wrong with singing while a bit tipsy. This is what happens though when you allow Gin to have center stage.  On the other hand though Ginseng has much better results if your aim is something other then drunken frivolity. It increases a sense of wellbeing and stamina, and improves both mental and  physical performance. Ginseng can be used to help with erectile dysfunction,  hepatitis C, and symptoms relating to menopause, and can also be used for  lowering blood glucose levels and controlling blood pressure. Gin on the other hand tricks you into believing you are invincible, can physically do anything for days without rest. It makes you believe you can speak philosophy with Aristotle, and might make you believe you really are. PLUS it will make you sing… Ginsang… not our friend 🙂
