Thats right it’s that time. Time for you to speak up, to be heard and most of all to do your civic duty as an American citizen.
I hear many people saying it doesn’t matter, well it does. It should matter to you that you participate in your Government. You don’t always have to agree with whats going on but if you don’t vote then it is partially your fault.
What are you going to do about it? Do you know who the people are running? What about the propositions that are being voted on? Go look them up so you can make an informed decision. I don’t know a single person that is happy with the way things are in this country right now. This may not be a Presidential Election but you are fooling yourself if you think it doesn’t effect you in a significant manner. I have one friend who won’t vote as a matter of course in protest. Protest of what exactly? He says the system is broken and he won’t be a part of it I remind him of something he says to me all the time “If you aren’t part of the solution then you are part of the problem.” He usually glares at me and wanders off mumbling under his breath.
